Fresh Ink Tech Cooperative
Fresh Ink is a worker-owned web cooperative, thought-up in Ithaca, NY and brought to life in Olympia, WA. Our mission is to mindfully use web projects and digital strategy for the benefit of people and planet, while simplifying the tech needs and expenses of social entrepreneurs, nonprofits, NGOs, and fellow cooperatives.
Our story is just beginning, before we are able to really truly tell it, we thought this snippet from our handbook would help share who we are and lay out our vision:
Who We Are
We are an empowered workforce. We report to ourselves but hold each other accountable. We organize our projects and give ourselves a structure for growth. We collaborate to invent and test ideas. We honor ourselves and each other.
Fail — fast and often. Question assumptions. Hold strong but open opinions. Continually innovate. Play. Ask. Give. Share. Laugh. Be curious.
To mindfully use web technologies and digital content for the benefit of people and planet, while simplifying the tech needs and expenses of social entrepreneurs, nonprofits, NGOs, and fellow cooperatives.
Our Core Culture
True equality, openness, trust, respect, and ownership.
Our Core Structure
We are a flat organization practicing open-book management — with a cooperative, co-creative and mindful democracy.
Our Core Values
Fresh Ink at its core is about the synergy of giving. It is a service for social and environmental change. It is a place to grow, be challenged and learn. We value the co-creative process. We value individuality. We value each other.
The scientific model applied to business. We draw on iterative lean methodologies and client-focused, content-first agile development. We put people and the planet first.
